Negative stereotype of arrogant, non-client focussed lawyers confirmed
This firm specialises in disputes concerning building and construction, including domestic building. The firm is headed by Darren Noble who gives his employees very little scope to do anything if he is not personally present. This is not efficient and comprises the ability of his staff to respond to client queries. Darren is arrogant towards clients. The firm and its staff are not incompetent but the reason I have given them a poor rating is that they seldom return calls or respond to emails and they charge for absolutely every second of time they spend including when we ring or email to complain about them. They also charged for time spent researching an issue in an area that they profess to have expertise in. Clients should not have to pay for a solicitor's learning curve and a judgement must be made about whether all the "time on the clock" should be charged for. No attempt was made to improve after being told frankly that the service was not good enough for the amount being charged. Although the case was settled and we achieved our objective, the whole process was made more stressful by the poor service. We ended up firing Noble Lawyers and finalising the settlement with another firm. Noble Lawyers hardly ever returned our new lawyers' calls or emails either.
